I Am A Birth Doula

I attend births at home, birthing centers, hospitals, and cesarean births. When you make decisions based on fear or a lack of understanding I remind you about your vision for your birth and the importance of using your heart and evidence that supports physiologic birth. When you have trouble talking to your provider I practice communication skills with you (and your husband or partner) and how to ask good questions. It’s important that we work together as a team with you in the lead role.

What makes me unique?

I have over 20 years of experience in maternal and child health ranging from administrative to working directly with mothers and families. This gives me the advantage of knowing birth from different angles and perspectives based on experience, training, and being on the ground as a birth worker.

I founded Just Us Women Productions, a well-being advocacy company, which gives me the flexibility of controlling my schedule and being available and accessible to my clients.

Over the years I have educated and supported hundreds of childbearing women the role of Certified Cooperative Childbirth Educator, certified birth and postpartum doula, breastfeeding educator, and well-being advocate. Continuing education is a priority. I regularly attend workshops, trainings, webinars, and read professional articles and books. I am very active in the birth community at a local and national level and I am a mentor and resource to aspiring birth workers.
