Several years ago I read the book Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud. It took me three and a half years to pick up this book and get beyond page 20. I procrastinated because when I bought it I just liked the concept. I didn’t believe there was anything in my life that I needed to let go. When I could no longer deny that something needed to give, I picked up the book and began my journey toward healthy endings. Necessary Endings is a wonderful book that can apply to your personal or professional life. In it Dr. Cloud talks about the seasons of life and our personal worldviews about endings.

In this season of life, I see my faith manifesting like spring after the cold of winter melts away. I see the good days lasting a little longer. I refuse to let the chaos in the world consume or deter me. I see myself building upon my life story and the wisdom and knowledge gained from just being me. In 2022, I will let go of flying solo in my personal life and the marketplace, instead I will partner with God because his plan is always greater than anything I can imagine.

Necessary Endings Bring Clarity

I’m clear about my message this season. In that clarity I understand that my message will not resonant with everyone. Some of you may need to prune my posts and unsubscribe. At one time I would have taken it personally. After reading Necessary Endings and getting real with myself I understand that some things must come to an end. If this message isn’t for you then be true to yourself, unsubscribe.

What new beginning does my necessary ending take me to? I am called to encourage and build up women, so that they can be set free to experience everyday freedom through intimacy with God. Freedom that leads to wholeness, well-being and builds community. My strategies are Kingdom focused fitness and wellness education, professional coaching and mentoring. I want women to know that “your body is good and it works” and there is spiritual and physical freedom to be found in their pursuit of health and well-being.

Necessary endings are part of life. I’ve embraced my necessary endings and I am all the better for it. What necessary endings should you embrace?
