About Just Us Women Productions
Just Us Women Productions brings together the work I enjoy: supporting women and families through pregnancy and postpartum, helping professionals and organizations with their businesses, and creating space for wellness. Through business consulting, financial coaching, tax preparation, and wellness services, I get to use the skills I’ve developed, the experiences I’ve gained, and the gifts God has given me in ways that can be useful to others.
This company grew from my desire to build something that reflects who I am, what I know, and the many ways I have been called to serve.
My Backstory
Brooklyn born and raised in the Bronx. My story began in Brooklyn and was shaped by the vibrant energy of the Bronx, along with the rich tapestry of my African-American and Caribbean heritage. I am Tamara Wrenn, and Just Us Women Productions is a reflection of dreams that began with an ambitious girl who believed her future could be anything she imagined.
As a young person, my dreams were bold and vivid: a brownstone, a boutique, an Olympic championship, a beautiful wedding dress, a husband, five children, and a published book of poetry. Even as a teenager, my dreams had no boundaries.
As the years passed, societal expectations began to influence my perception of success. I found myself at the crossroads of following the path others expected and holding on to my dreams. I climbed the ladders of traditional success, but the nonconformist at my core never disappeared.
My Transformation
Memories are powerful, and mine helped restore dreams I had set aside. They reminded me that I could still build the business I had imagined as a young woman: a place where I could create, contribute, and move forward with no regrets. That realization changed how I saw my future. I made a conscious decision to stop measuring my life by someone else’s definition of success and begin building a business that reflected who I am.
Guided by a newfound sense of purpose and faith, I embraced the skills and gifts God had developed in me through my experiences. What began as a dream of owning a business grew into something deeper: a multifaceted company where my experience in maternal and perinatal health, business, coaching, and wellness come together through a community-focused approach in powerful ways.
The Evolution of Just Us Women Productions
Just Us Women Productions is the result of that evolution. It gives me room to use what I know, continue learning, serve others, and create work that reflects the many dimensions of who I am.
