Release me from your hold, you stubborn one toothed bandit. You can’t grab hold of me without a fight and just expect to have your way. Didn’t I get rid of you a while ago? Didn’t I toss you to the wind, like trash sailing towards the garbage truck? I have something better in my life now, something that doesn’t try to hold me down, someone that doesn’t try to do me in. His name is Jesus. Do you know him, have you heard his voice? Have you seen him work wonders like miraculous drops of snowflakes in summer? Release me and turn me loose. Cause I-Am-Free. I’ve been released from the shackles and bondage that tried to do me in. I’ve been released from the burdens of sin that strike at my soul. I’ve been released.
**I recently discovered Five Minute Friday on Facebook, thanks to a friend. The concept is simple. On Friday you receive one word on Facebook and you have five minutes, no more, to write whatever comes to mind about that word. This weeks word was Release. Learn more at Five Minute Friday.
