The calendar says Spring has sprung so inspite of the cold nights and windy days I will choose to believe.
I came across two recent videos while surfing social media. You may have seen them before but I thought they were worth posting here. The women in the videos inspire me just like the women in my weekly Zumba class.
Every one in my class is over 60 and they never cease to amaze me. They reminded me to relax when I forgot my music at home (how’d I do that). They encouraged me to improvise by changing my choreography on the spot when a step was confusing. They laughed at me when I said my leg hurt and asked me what are you going to do when you get to be our age. These women are sassy, generous, kind, and friendly. They are my people. They are my elders. Today’s post is devoted to my elders, women who inspire me. I hope they inspire you too.
