BIRTH DOULA SERVICES
Basic Birth doula: professional labor support so you never have to be alone, and we never take the place of dad. Wellness coaching services available with this package.
Cesarean doula: support specific to the needs of a surgical birth including breastfeeding after a cesarean. Learn about the best time to have your cesarean birth; what to expect during surgery prep; and what to expect during recovery.
Labor Sitting & Virtual Birth Coaching: perfect for families who feel confident in their abilities and/or prefer privacy and intimacy, while appreciating having an experienced doula on-call for feedback and guidance as part of informed decision making. Also great for the budget conscious family.
Selecting a doula: When you are interviewing doulas it is important to remember that the
quality of your relationship should be one of the guiding factors. This is someone
you will share some of your most intimate moments with. In addition to the usual questions asked during an interview don't forget to think about the interpersonal aspect of the interview. During and after the interview seriously consider: does this seem like someone I can build a mutually trusting
relationship with; do we have similar philosophy's about birth; did I feel listened to and understood during the interview process; did my support person and I feel comfortable during the interview? In addition to her educational background, is she up
to date on evidence based practices and research related to perinatal health?
Fees: Your investment in my services are based on my comprehensive education, training and experience and my work with
hundreds of women and caregivers. In addition, I have over seventeen years of experience in maternal, infant, and child health; perinatal health and fitness;
and women's wellness. I have completed my birth and postpartum doula certification with Birth Arts International, and have trained with WomanCraft Midwifery Education Program, Niara Healing Arts and MotherLove, Inc.
Sliding scale fees are available on a case-by-case basis by request and
teen services are always free (under age 20 at conception). Please make your request
known during our interview. All services require a deposit
with your signed contract in order to confirm me as your doula.

- Browse my website and contact me for a mutual pre-screening before making a decision to schedule a face-to-face interview.
- At the interview be open and honest about your needs and expectations.
- Ask me questions.
- After the interview we'll both take some time to decide if we're a good fit to work together.

- Up to two prenatal visits totaling 3 hours to assess your needs and desires for achieving your birth vision, clarifying our expectations of one another, and identifying your personalized birth tools, One at the start of our relationship and one at 36 weeks.
- Unlimited telephone support during pregnancy and unlimited email support to answer your questions and offer support and suggestions throughout your pregnancy and early labor
- On call 24/7 for early labor two weeks prior to your estimated due date providing you with advocacy and support
- Continuous physical and emotional labor & birth support commencing during the active phase of labor up to the birth of your baby
- Postpartum recovery support totaling up to 2 hours after birth to support skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding (laid back)
- One postpartum home visit within one to two weeks to celebrate your birth, help you process your labor experience and answer questions during the early postpartum period
- Basic birth package - starting at $750
- *Upgraded package - I am also a certified wellness coach, so my upgraded package adds a prenatal/postpartum/wellness coach package. Clients will receive doula services and wellness coaching - $900

- For a planned cesarean birth one 90 minute prenatal visit to assess your needs and desires for achieving your birth vision, clarifying our expectations of one another, and identifying your personalized birth tools
- Unlimited telephone support during pregnancy and unlimited email support to answer your questions and offer support and suggestions throughout your pregnancy and early labor
- On call 24/7 for early labor two weeks prior to your estimated due date providing you with advocacy and support
- Continuous surgical support can include: accompanying mom into surgery; staying with mom post-op while dad/partner tends to baby; and/or providing support during recovery
- Postpartum recovery support until mom is stabilized or up to 2 hours after birth to support skin-to-skin and breastfeeding (laid back)
- One postpartum home visit within 48 hours of going home to celebrate your birth, help you process your labor experience and answer questions during the early postpartum period
- Second postpartum home visit within one to two weeks after birth to help with basic home duties, provide follow-up postpartum support, and celebrate your birth
